Artsrun Hovhannisyan: Artsakh Defense Army successfully repels enemy  attacks

Answering the question about the artillery shelling of Azerbaijani  cities, Hovhannisyan noted that the Artsakh Defense Army uses it  purposefully and hits only military targets. The strikes follow  exclusively those firing points from which villages and cities of the  republic are fired upon. "If the aggression against the civilian  population of Artsakh is carried out from various military facilities  located in large cities of Azerbaijan, in particular, from the  airports where the equipment belonging to the Azerbaijani air force  and the Turkish air force is located, Artsakh has every right to  attack and destroy these facilities. This is the legitimate right of  Artsakh to protect its population from destruction," Hovhannisyan  said. For example, the village of David Bek was subjected to a very  intense shelling today. There are casualties among the civilian  population. According to him, what kind of peaceful coexistence can  be discussed in conditions when the military-political leadership of  Azerbaijan annihilates the peaceful inhabitants of Artsakh. After  these war crimes it is simply ridiculous to talk about the  possibility of joint residence of Azerbaijanis and Artsakh Armenians.  The issues of war crimes committed against the peaceful population of  Artsakh and the use of prohibited weapons should be in the center of  attention of the world community. To recall, today the Azerbaijani  Armed Forces have used the so-called phosphorus munitions, also  prohibited by international conventions.
