ArmInfo. The situation created as a result of the large-scale aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh was discussed by Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan during an online meeting with American congressmen Frank Pallone, Jackie Speyer and Adam Schiff, during a working visit to the United States.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mnatsakanyan drew the attention of the congressmen to the facts of deliberate attacks on the civilian population of Artsakh, infrastructure, numerous violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes during the hostilities by the Azerbaijani armed forces.
The Armenian Foreign Minister also expressed concern about Turkey's direct involvement in aggression on the side of Azerbaijan, which is manifested both in its direct military participation and in the transfer of foreign armed terrorists from the Middle East to Azerbaijan. According to him, the decision of the Azerbaijani leadership to turn the country into a center of international terrorism poses a serious threat to regional security. Mnatsakanyan stressed that this military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the people of Artsakh poses a threat to the physical security of the peaceful population of Artsakh, which requires the international community to take urgent measures to neutralize it. The interlocutors agreed on the need to take immediate measures to establish a ceasefire regime, as well as in connection with the steps of Azerbaijan to deploy foreign militants in the region.
