ArmInfo.A delegation of MPs from France visited the National Assembly of Armenia. Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Lena Nazaryan announced this on her Facebook page.
"We recently received French MPs in the National Assembly and presented the situation to them. We noted that much depends on France as a member of the UN Security Council, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, as a European superpower, but we also thank the residents of French cities who have heard our voice, "said the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament.
At the same time, Nazaryan decided to speak out about the criticism of some citizens in connection with the fact that assistance to the Armenian side is provided by not very large and not very well-known communities. In her words, such an approach is perplexing, especially against the background of the fact that the country's leadership is doing everything in its power to make the voice of the Armenian side heard throughout the world. "We must demonstrate an elementary human gratitude to communities and people who do not look at the problem from the point of view of the real politics and interests of their state, but simply act on the level of solidarity and do everything in their power. Council of the Austrian city of Ryde, which I hear about for the first time, transferred $ 5,000 to the fund. Let the head of some Armenian community transfer 1 dram to another country that needs it. It is not clear where this arrogance came from. I also appreciate the efforts of our compatriots who today are protesting on the streets of different European countries for making our voice heard in these cities,, "Nazaryan said. She called on the residents of the country to appreciate the support that Armenia is now receiving, and the parliamentarians will do everything in their power to present the situation to the international community at the proper level. As ArmInfo previously reported, 15 French parliamentarians will stay in Armenia and Artsakh from October 24 to 27. The purpose of the visit is to express support for Armenia, with which France has special relations, and to draw the attention of the international community to what is happening in Artsakh.
