Head of the Ministry of Health of Armenia discussed the  epidemiological situation in Armenia with the US Ambassador

ArmInfo.Health Minister Arsen Torosyan met with US Ambassador to Armenia Lynn Tracy today.  During the meeting, the sides discussed the epidemiological situation in Armenia, the health situation complicated by the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Arsen Torosyan thanked the United States for its support in the fight  against Covid-19, noting that the assistance provided by USAID serves  its purpose. Presenting the situation, the minister stressed that the  health care system is in a difficult situation due to a significant  increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus, as well  as in connection with the care of the wounded on the Karabakh front.

Lynn Tracy expressed the opinion that Armenia already has good  experience in combating coronavirus infection, which facilitates the  process of treating COVID-19 patients. Lynn Tracy agreed that the  Armenian healthcare system is facing new challenges and Armenian  doctors need new capacities to meet them. He expressed his readiness  to help and take appropriate measures in this direction.
