ArmInfo. At a meeting with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian in Brussels, President of the European Council Charles Michel stressed the importance of observing the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Violence in Nagorno-Karabakh must be stopped. In conversation with the President of Armenia, I reiterated our deepest concern about the ongoing fighting. Parties must respect ceasefire and return to the negotiating table without any conditions, " Michel wrote on his Twitter page. He also added that "external interference in the conflict in Karabakh is unacceptable."
Earlier, the press service of the Armenian president reported that Sarkissian had left for Brussels to discuss with the leadership of the EU and NATO the problem of Karabakh. It was noted that the agenda included issues related to the shelling of the border settlements of Armenia by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
