Worldwide Armenian Diaspora Demands Recognition of Artsakh

ArmInfo.  In a number of  European and American cities, including Washington, representatives  of the Armenian diaspora are holding protests, rallies, closing  roads, calling on the authorities to recognize Artsakh and condemn  the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression against the Armenian people. In  particular, according to GlobalNews, the Armenian diaspora is holding  a protest action in front of the Montreal metropolitan municipality,  addressing the mayor of the city, Valerie Planta, with a request to  condemn the Azerbaijani aggression in Artsakh and call for peace. At  the same time, the protesters called for the recognition of the  independence of the Republic of Artsakh. "The time has come for the  world to recognize Artsakh, since this is the only way to ensure a  stable peace," the protesters say.

At the same time, the Armenian communities closed the France-Belgium  border, demanding recognition of the independence of Artsakh, calling  on the local media to cover their protest action so that their voice  could be heard by the authorities.  It is also reported that for  several hours the entrance and exit to the city of Hamburg has been  closed by representatives of the Armenian diaspora, who demand from  the German authorities to condemn the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression  against Armenia and Artsakh, and to recognize the independence of the  latter.  A protest action is also taking place in Washington in front  of the Congress building, demanding the imposition of sanctions  against Turkey and Azerbaijan.
