ArmInfo.Moscow highly appreciates the very fact of the arrival of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation and the work they have done, including the decision on a humanitarian cease in Nagorno-Karabakh, said the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov.
"We highly appreciate the very fact of the arrival of two ministers who responded to the initiative of President Putin and came to Moscow. We also highly appreciate the work that has been done by Presidents Putin, Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan," Peskov told reporters, answering a question about how the Kremlin evaluates the results of the negotiations, RIA Novosti reports.
He emphasized that the result of this work was the hours-long negotiations between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his colleagues from Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"We also highly appreciate the understanding that was agreed upon and the decisions on the humanitarian ceasefire that were reached as a result of these contacts. Now we are very closely watching the situation, we see reports from both sides about violations, but we believe that agreements, it is extremely important in order to come to a complete rejection of hostilities and the transition to political and diplomatic means in the settlement of this conflict in the future, "Peskov said.
