Arayik Harutyunyan thanked Vladimir Putin for his assistance in  establishing truce in Artsakh

ArmInfo.Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his assistance in establishing truce. Harutyunyan stated this at a press conference.

Harutyunyan also expressed gratitude to Russian Foreign Minister  Sergei Lavrov and the chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, which  today remains the only recognized format for resolving the Artsakh  conflict.

"I would like to thank all the international bodies and countries  that have taken steps towards peace. And special gratitude to the  journalists who cover the events taking place here and thanks to  which the world knows what is really happening in Artsakh, "the  President of Artsakh said.

Harutyunyan also stressed the indifference of the Azerbaijani  authorities to the bodies of their own soldiers, who were left at the  front line.

To note, the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Zohrab  Mnatsakanyan and Jeyhun Bayramov on October 9 held consultations in  Moscow on the invitation of the President of Russia. The  consultations were also attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei  Lavrov. During the consultations, the parties agreed on a ceasefire  from 12:00 on October 10 for humanitarian purposes, for the exchange  of prisoners of war and the bodies of those killed through the  mediation of the Red Cross.

Also, Yerevan and Baku agreed to substantive negotiations with the  aim of an early achievement of a peaceful settlement with the  mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs. Armenia and Azerbaijan  confirmed their adherence to this format
