Alen Simonyan and Sergey Kopyrkin discussed the role of Russia as  OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair in ensuring security in region

ArmInfo. Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan met with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin.  Simonyan announced this on his Facebook page. 

Simonyan, in particular, noted: "We discussed the situation in  Artsakh, noting the high level of the Armenian-Russian allied  relations, as well as common approaches in terms of ensuring  stability and security in the region.

Considering the important role of Russia as the Co-Chair of the OSCE  Minsk Group and as the main player in ensuring security in the  region, as well as taking into account the friendly relations between  our countries and the close contacts of the leaders, we agreed to  maintain constant contacts at this stage.
