ArmInfo. "The more the enemy tries to intimidate us, the tougher we become." Artsakh President's Advisor David Babayan stated this at a briefing on October 7.
Recalling that the enemy is shelling settlements and exclusively civilian objects, Babayan stated that this is not a tactic and strategy, it is their way of thinking, a mental structure that aims to try to break the will of the people of Artsakh. However, in his words, these attempts are in vain, since the more they try to intimidate us, the tougher the Artsakh people become.
At the same time, the adviser to the President of Artsakh stressed that the actions of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, caused enormous damage to the negotiation process, and they are the greatest criminals of today.
At the same time, he believes that for these acts they should be punished and it is better that it be an international court. "If a country, being a NATO member, cooperates with terrorists, enters into agreements with terrorists without informing partners, starts an aggressive war, endangers the whole world, creates preconditions for a third world war, then I am sure that it will certainly be punished, at least by the Judgement of God", said Babayan.
The situation in Artsakh
Speaking about the situation in the Artsakh, Babayan stressed that Artsakh is strong, Stepanakert is and will be, and all Artsakh people are determined to defend the borders of their homeland. At the same time, he shared the good news, noting that the enemy suffered heavy losses in a number of sectors and the attempt at a large-scale offensive had failed. "Large units have been eliminated. True, the enemy continued terrorist activities. What we have always said that Azerbaijan is a terrorist state has been confirmed once again. All last night the enemy fired at Stepanakert and a number of settlements. There are injuries and destruction. But I repeat - our people are determined to stand up to the end," added the Adviser to the Artsakh President.
Babayan also pointed to the intensification of international forces. In his opinion, the processes we are witnessing make it possible to forcast that very soon there will be even greater pressure on Turkey and Azerbaijan. "But the biggest pressure is the competent actions of the army on the battlefield. Stubborn fighting continues. There are areas where it is quieter. In some areas there is active hostilities. The enemy is trying to spread panic through the media and fakes. This will not succeed. There is no need to limit social networks, our citizens very conscious," the Adviser to the Artsakh President said.
Georgia's actions
The Adviser to the Artsakh President also commented on the position of the Georgian side, urging not to rush to conclusions about the actions of official Tbilisi. "One should be extremely careful with conclusions, but first it is necessary to collect all the evidence in order to be 100% sure of the conclusions. We consider Georgia and the Georgian people friends. If there is no statehood of Armenia, then the statehood of Georgia is a matter of months if not hours. If someone in Georgia believes that without the statehood of Armenia and Artsakh, although not recognized, there can be statehood of Georgia, then they are mistaken, because Georgia will also become a target of terrorists and pan-Turkism. I am more than sure that the Georgian people understand this very well. Therefore, we are fighting for the entire civilized world, including Georgia. If we fail to fulfill our mission, the statehood of Georgia is also in danger," said David Babayan.
