ArmInfo. This morning, Azerbaijani troops resumed rocket attacks on Stepanakert. Representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated this at a briefing in Yerevan.
According to him, residential areas and civilian infrastructures are subjected to rocket attacks, there are casualties and wounded. At noon, hostilities resumed, especially in the south. The enemy again attempted a large-scale attack along the Araks River using missile systems, armored vehicles, and mobile groups. Soldiers who are not part of the structures of the armed forces of Azerbaijan were also involved in the attacks. Hovhannisyan noted the intensity of the battles, noting that often the Armenian side carries out maneuvering movements of a different nature, the nature of which, results and successes are very often not recorded at the moment, but presented after completion.
He stressed that as of the morning of October 6, the losses of the Azerbaijani armed forces amounted to 300 dead, 11 armored vehicles, 2 helicopters and 2 UAVs were destroyed. These data, according to Hovhannisyan, do not include data for today, which will be presented tomorrow, October 7.
The representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry noted that Yerevan is familiar with the statement of the Iranian Defense Minister. Iran's actions, Hovhannisyan stressed, are no longer limited to statements alone.
