ArmInfo. The attack on Ganja was a warning to the Azerbaijani authorities. Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan stated this in his address to compatriots on  October 4.

He stressed that for several days the enemy has been shelling the  capital of Artsakh, Stepanakert, from "tornadoes", "polonaises" and  other modern long-range missile systems. Unmanned aerial vehicles  appear over the city every minute. "In response to these actions,  today for the first time I gave an order to launch a missile strike  on Ganja, since we were forced. Wake up, because if necessary, these  strikes will continue," the head of the Artsakh said. 

He added that he gave the order to stop the shelling to give the  enemy time to think. <Stay away from civilians. It was you who  started the war, violating the norms of humanitarian law, making  civilians a target, " said Arayik Harutyunyan.

He noted that the Armenian soldiers, everyone, to the last are ready  to die for the sake of the Motherland.  This is a holy patriotic war,  which requires uniting the forces of the people around the  authorities, since today, as never before, the role of the  authorities of the Republic of Armenia is high.

The Artsakh President expressed confidence that the Aliyev family  will be punished for this crime. The people of Azerbaijan fell victim  to their rulers. Therefore, it is necessary to fight with a united  front against the Azerbaijani authorities.
