ArmInfo. The path chosen by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will end with the fall of the Azerbaijani statehood. Former Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan expressed a similar opinion to ArmInfo.
"This path will lead Azerbaijan to a tough military, later political defeat. However, today Aliyev found himself in a position that does not allow him to leave this obviously disastrous path, especially in the light of the behavior of Turkey, which behaves itself according to all the canons of a barbaric country, consistently violating all international rules", he stressed.
Starting at 07:10 am on September 27, the settlements, as well as the military units of the Republic of Artsakh, were subjected to intensive artillery and rocket fire by the Azerbaijani army. After that, the enemy's motorized rifle and tank subunits went on the offensive in the northern and southeastern directions. At the moment, divisions of the Artsakh army are fighting, successfully repelling enemy attacks.
According to the diplomat, it seems impossible to predict today the timing of the end of the war, initiated in such conditions, especially given the impossibility of stopping it through various appeals. And also taking into account the fact that Aliyev initiated a new war, realizing the impossibility of continuing the negotiation process.
In this light, the diplomat expressed the conviction in the impossibility of reaching an armistice or continuing negotiations at the moment. In his opinion, now the time and situation dictate to Armenia and Artsakh the need to take new territories and once again force the aggressor to peace.
