Artsakh President: This war will end with the complete defeat of  Azerbaijan 

ArmInfo. The task of the Artsakh  Defense Army is to impose peace on Azerbaijan. Artsakh President  Arayik Harutyunyan stated this late yesterday at a press conference  for foreign journalists. At the same time, the President of Artsakh  noted that Turkey is disappointed with the way the fighting is  unfolding. After all, they did not expect that the soldiers of the  Defense Army would fight like this for Artsakh. <We cannot lose as  long as the spirit of our soldiers is so strong. We have a soldier  who, being an 18-year-old boy, has already knocked out 9 pieces of  enemy equipment. We have a soldier who went into the enemy's trench  and blew himself up with them. As long as we have such guys, Artsakh  simply cannot lose, "Harutyunyan said. The latter also noted that no  one has ever conquered Artsakh and it will not be captured this time  either.

He noted that in general, there were no serious positional changes on  the front, but large-scale clashes did not stop.

"Naturally, both sides have losses, however, Azerbaijan's losses  exceed ours. Over the coming days, we have destroyed as many enemy  armored vehicles as during the first Karabakh war, "the NKR President  said.

Harutyunyan noted that he is somewhat surprised by the behavior of  the leadership of Azerbaijan, since the latter leave hundreds of  corpses on the battlefield, and then they are not at all interested  in their fate.  Harutyunyan expressed doubts that Russia will be able  to stop this war. "In 2016 Artsakh fought with Azerbaijan and Russia  was able to persuade Azerbaijan and Armenia to come to peace. But  today Turkey is also involved in the process. And I don't know if  Moscow will be able to come to an agreement with Ankara, "the Artsakh  President stressed.

He noticed that the only way to come to peace is to base on reason  and common sense. "Unfortunately, however, the leadership of  Azerbaijan does not have them. But I assure you, this war will end  with the defeat of Azerbaijan. The economy of Azerbaijan has suffered  greatly from the hostilities, and it will need decades to be  restored. The people of the country will have social problems. After  all, oil reserves are being depleted, and Azerbaijan spends billions  on weapons, "Harutyunyan noted.

The President of Artsakh also once again remembered that Azerbaijan  uses mercenaries in this war, attracted by Turkey. However,  Harutyuyan recalled that in the 90s there was no particular benefit  from mercenaries, and it will be so now. "On the contrary, they harm  the Azerbaijani people. I believe that we should prepare for a long  war, "concluded Harutyunyan.
