ArmInfo.Turkey has long and actively tried to use the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict to advance its destructive foreign policy agenda in the South Caucasus, while not only publicly expressing unconditional solidarity with Azerbaijan, but also providing this country with its direct support, including military character. This is stated in the statement of the Artsakh Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, it is noted that if in the past Turkey played the role of a shadow puppeteer who directed the actions of Azerbaijan, now Ankara is directly involved in the internationally illegal acts of the Azerbaijani authorities against the people of Artsakh, encouraging the criminal actions of Baku, providing military-political and informational support, providing weapons , in particular, unmanned aerial vehicles and multiple launch rocket systems, sending military specialists and recruiting mercenaries from the Middle East to participate in the war against the Republic of Artsakh.
"A glaring example of such aggressive behavior of Turkey is the destruction of an Armenian plane by a Turkish F-16 fighter in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia.
The degree of danger of Turkey's regional role is growing against the background of the growth of the expansionist ambitions of the Turkish leadership, based on phantom memories of the empire, which, before ceasing to exist, carried out the first genocide in the 20th century - the Armenian genocide of 1915-1923. Together with ambitions, the current Turkish authorities inherited from the empire that had sunk into oblivion not only its policy, but also the criminal methods and means of its implementation. It is noteworthy that the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict arose in 1918 precisely as a result of the military intervention of Turkish troops in the South Caucasus. In continuation of the Armenian Genocide, Turkish troops invaded Artsakh in 1918 and massacred the Armenian population of Shushi. However, all attempts by Turkish troops to subjugate Artsakh to Azerbaijan, which had a short history of independence, ended in complete failure. A little over a hundred years later, Turkey is trying to turn history back. Turkey's essential role in Azerbaijan's committing crimes against the people of Artsakh has sufficient documentary evidence and is beyond doubt. Ankara's responsibility is not limited only to the direct commission of crimes by the hands of the Azerbaijani authorities, but also includes the control and management of criminal acts both in the preparatory stages and during their commission. Turkey's actions in the context of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict are more than just helping and inciting Azerbaijan to new crimes. This position of the Turkish leaders is an integral part of criminal behavior and testifies to the existence of an agreement between Turkey and Azerbaijan to achieve a common goal through coordinated steps and joint control over the implementation of their predatory plans. The international community should fully realize that Turkey, along with Azerbaijan, bears full responsibility for the violation of peace and security in the region and should be equally called to account for the consistent violation of international law and the UN Charter.
After all these actions, Turkey can no longer be considered as a member of the OSCE Minsk Group, as well as participate in any form in activities related to the implementation of a mediation mission within the OSCE for the settlement of the Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict. Turkey should be excluded from the OSCE Minsk Group, since its presence in this international mediating structure will mean encouraging destructive and criminal activities aimed at unleashing a war against the Republic of Artsakh. We emphasize again that in conditions when Azerbaijan, led by Turkey, ignores the calls of the international community to immediately stop hostilities and consistently refuses to resolve the Azerbaijan- Karabakh conflict exclusively by peaceful means, the international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh will become a collective contribution of the world community to the restoration of peace and security in the region. and creating conditions for resolving all outstanding issues through negotiations. In addition, the recognition of solid legal foundations and legitimate results of the Artsakh people exercising their inalienable right to self-determination will become an effective factor in curbing the Turkish-Azerbaijani genocidal policy towards the Republic of Artsakh, which neither Baku nor Ankara intend to give up. We believe that the international recognition of the Republic of Artsakh fully fits into the framework of the political and humanitarian obligations of the civilized world, and above all of the countries that recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923, "the statement of the NKR Foreign Ministry says.
