ArmInfo. Lawmaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Anton Polyakov categorically condemned the Azerbaijani military aggression against Artsakh.

"On September 27, Azerbaijan began a full-fledged military operation  with a large-scale offensive in Nagorno-Karabakh, using artillery  shelling and military equipment. There are already casualties among  the civilian population. Turkey's statement, which openly supports of  official Baku in the conflict, adds fuel to the fire. We are on the  verge of active phase of the war.

I strongly condemn the Azerbaijani military aggression. The  escalation of hostilities must be stopped. To stabilize the  situation, only one way is possible - peace negotiations, where other  countries will act as mediators and guarantors of the implementation  of the agreements reached.

I hope for competent actions and sensible assessments of the  situation from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.  We should not play  geopolitical games with unpredictable results. Supporting radical  actions of Azerbaijan will be an unacceptable step. Ukraine is a  peaceful and neutral country, which must defend diplomatic methods  for resolving any conflicts, "Polyakov wrote in his telegram channel.
