ArmInfo.On September 28, early in the morning, Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan held an operational meeting with the leadership of the Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian defense department, the minister was informed about the operational situation on the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact and on the state border of Armenia.
The meeting discussed the situation created as a result of military actions unleashed by the Azerbaijani side.
David Tonoyan gave appropriate instructions to contain the enemy, destructively oppose his offensive actions and provide the necessary support to the defense army.
It should be noted that according to the press secretary of the RA Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan, at night the hostilities along the contact line of the Artsakh and Azerbaijani armed forces continued with varying degrees of intensity. "Early in the morning of September 28, the enemy resumed offensive operations with the use of artillery, armored vehicles, including the heavy TOS flamethrower system. Armenian units are cold-bloodedly opposing the encroachments of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, taking appropriate measures, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment," she wrote spokesperson on his Facebook page.
