ArmInfo.. A group of Armenian citizens who want to leave for Russia have gone on an indefinite hunger strike since yesterday. They are in front of the Armenian government.
These citizens have been holding "I want to Russia" protest actions for more than a month. They stated that they had arrived in Armenia for a while, but because of the coronavirus pandemic, they were stuck in the country and could not leave. Some citizens still have jobs there, others have families. Citizens want to be given the opportunity to leave for Russia.
One of the citizens on a hunger strike said that the two protesters met with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan this morning. The Prime Minister noted that the borders between the countries are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and not at someone's whim.
The protesters also said that they had proposed to the Prime Minister to start solving this issue gradually. The protesters said that until they receive a clear response from the government, the protests will continue.
