ArmInfo. Chief of Staff of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan Sedrak Barseghyan and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matt Murray held a meeting on multi-sectoral cooperation within the framework of online consultations of the Armenian-American strategic dialogue.
As reported by the press service of the RA government, during the meeting the issues of the Armenian- American cooperation in the field of economy, energy, high technologies and their development prospects were touched upon.
Barseghyan presented the priorities of the Armenian government to the American side, touching upon the sectoral strategies for 2020-2050, as well as the importance and priorities of Armenia's transformation strategy. He also thanked the United States for expanding assistance to Armenia during this difficult period, which was aimed not only at overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus in the healthcare sector, but also at neutralizing the impact on other industries.
In turn, Murray presented the Armenian-American bilateral trade and economic relations, touched upon the issues of promoting the role of women in Armenia.
During the meeting, USAID Deputy Assistant Director Alexander Sokolovsky presented the programs implemented by the Agency in Armenia and discussed with representatives of the Armenian government the possibilities of expanding cooperation.
In conclusion, the parties pointed out the importance of holding consultations in such a format, noting their effectiveness in terms of the development of bilateral relations.
