ArmInfo. French President Emmanuel Macron sent a congratulatory message to Armenian President Armen Sargsyan on the occasion of the Republic's Independence Day.
According to the RA President's press service, Macron's message reads, in particular: <Mr. President, dear friend, on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, on behalf of the people of France and on my own behalf, I send you my warmest congratulations.
France and Armenia can be proud of based on historical ties, shared memory and shared vision of rich relationships. These privileged connections more than ever constitute wealth, which we must develop. They make us stronger to confront the challenges our countries face.
I want to assure you that France is determined to help Armenia in the bold change that the Government of Armenia has undertaken since 2018. France is by your side to support your new economic recovery and to help Armenia undertake long-term concrete programs in the health sector and in combating the effects of climate change. More than ever, all the actors in our bilateral relations are ready to help reform and participate in economic recovery. In contrast to the enforced measures of the COVID-19 pandemic, I express my satisfaction with the recent achievements of cooperation in the university, educational and cultural fields.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to emphasize that France, as the co-chair of the Minsk Group, will spare no effort to achieve an early resumption of negotiations between the parties, with the hope of a peaceful and long-term settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my deepest respect.
