Today, on September 18, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a decree on the creation of an interdepartmental group to prepare the intergovernmental council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which is scheduled for October 9 in Yerevan.
The last time the council meeting was held in July - for the first time since the start of the pandemic, it was held in person . The previous time, the heads of government of the EAEU states met in person on January 31, 2020 in Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan). Then, in connection with the outbreak of the pandemic, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council had to discuss topical problems of the integration association via videoconference on April 10 and 23.
The Eurasian Economic Union includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Moldova has observer status with the EAEU.
