ArmInfo. The opening ceremony of the "Russian Center" at the branch of the Avetik Isahakyan Central Library of the Yerevan Municipality took place.
The Center was opened within the framework of cooperation between the Moscow cultural and business center "House of Moscow" in Yerevan and the Central Library after Av. Isahakyan. Ambassador of Russia to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin and representatives of the Yerevan Municipality attended the opening ceremony of the center.
After cutting the red ribbon at the opening ceremony, the Russian Ambassador noted that this was the Prime Minister, since the first such Center had opened in Armenia. "There are no Russian centers in other libraries yet. Sometimes it may seem that everyone in Armenia knows about Russia, but the two countries need to continue to work in order to maintain and develop bilateral relations. I hope that this important initiative will continue, including in other cities and regions of the country," Kopyrkin said.
Visitors and readers of the"Russian Center" will have access to informative audio / video materials about Russia, a rich collection of fiction and scientific literature, official publications, reference books, e-books and magazines, which will also become available in online format. The Center is equipped with modern technology, which will allow a large audience to join the historical and cultural heritage Russia. The Center will also host free Russian language courses. The entrance to the "Russian Center" is free not only for registered readers of the library, but also for everyone.
