ArmInfo. Residents of Rainis Street of the Kanaker-Zeytun community of Yerevan, who suffered from the explosion of a gas cylinder, will receive housing certificates. The decision was made at the meeting of the RA government on September 17.
According to the acting chairman of the RA Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan, housing certificates will be issued to the residents based on the area based on the average price for housing in the area of the Kanaker-Zeytun metropolitan community, where the incident took place. Each suffered resident will receive 330 thousand drams for each square meter of lost housing.
To recall, a gas explosion occurred on August 26 in one of the five-storey buildings on Rainis Street in the capital's administrative district of Kanaker-Zeytun. An entire staircase collapsed, one person died. Several more were injured. All the affected families were accommodated in hotels for one week at the expense of the state budget (most exercised this right), and then the state paid them for a month rent of apartments in the same area of the city.
