According to the source, in Yerevan the number of COVID-19 risk group teachers was 419, in Gegharkunik - 126, Kotayk - 111, Shirak - 106, Tavush - 101, Syunik - 99, Aragatsotn - 96, Ararat - 94, Armavir - 67, Lori - 50, Vayots Dzore - 11. Overall, 160 teachers of mathematics, 145 teachers of the Armenian language and literature, 124 teachers of the Russian language were included in the risk group for COVID-19; in other subjects less than 100. In the case of teachers who do not show up for work, the school may hire replacement teachers based on the vacant hours.
In addition, the educational process for 2,426 students will be organized in a centralized remote mode. In Yerevan, their number is 1207, in Shirak - 211, Ararat - 188, Kotayk - 175, Lori - 172, Gegharkunik - 142, Armavir - 110, Aragatsotn - 78, Syunik - 63, Tavush - 47, Vayots Dzor - 33.
To recall, according to the rules for the operation of general education institutions in the context of COVID-19, a student may not attend school if he is at risk group, or a case of confirmation or suspicion of coronavirus has been recorded in his family. To note, this year 397607 pupils will study in general education schools in Armenia, of which 38186 will be in the first grade.
