ArmInfo. The son of former MP Gurgen Arsenyan was detained on suspicion of robbery.
As reported by the Investigative Committee, on September 9, the cook of former lawmaker of the RA National Assembly Gurgen Arsenyan announced that on the same day at 09:30am the son of Gurgen Arsenyan entered the kitchen of the mansion located on 38th street of the capital's Arabkir community, came against her and using two kitchen knives as a weapon, applying violence to her life and health, demanded and received 20 thousand drams.
On this fact, the Yerevan City Police Department initiated a criminal case under paragraph 4 of Part 2 of Article 175 (robbery) of the RA Criminal Code, which was sent to the Investigative Committee. In the course of the preliminary investigation, a number of investigative actions were carried out, including an inspection of the scene, during which the above knives were found.
On September 9, Gurgen Arsenyan Jr. was detained on suspicion of committing a robbery with the use of weapons. The investigation continues.
