ArmInfo. On September 11, in the morning in front of the building of the RA Government, another protest action of the residents of Yeghegnut community of Armavir region of RA started.
The former head of the Yeghegnut community Razmik Margaryan, under pressure from the villagers, prematurely resigned after the 2018 Velvet Revolution, after which by the decision of Governor Gagik Miridzhanyan and. about. Razmik Mkrtchyan was appointed head of the community. Meanwhile, Margaryan challenged the governor's decision, first in the Administrative and then in the Court of Appeal, demanding reinstatement in his previous position. The Court of Appeal only partially satisfied Margaryan's complaint, which does not give him the right to engage in the activities of the head of the community. However, according to the protesters, Margaryan, contrary to court decisions, continues to arbitrarily fulfill the duties of the head of the community. For this purpose, he appropriated the administrative seal, and rebuilt the pharmacy building into his own administration. The protesters call this situation absurd and demand the prime minister's assistance in this matter.
It is noted that Margaryan headed the community for more than 30 years, since Soviet times, and, according to villagers, participated in lawlessness, including falsifying elections by stuffing ballots. The villagers note that they were able to breathe freely only after he left office in 2018, and do not intend to put up with his attempts to lead the community again.
Let us add that children also take part in the protest action, holding in their hands the posters "Eghegnut without a robber" and "We trust only the prime minister".
