Mher Sedrakyan charged

ArmInfo.As a result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions of the Main Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the  RA Investigative Committee, a number of circumstances of cases of  abuse of office by Mher Sedrakyan were clarified.

According to the Investigative Committee, according to the  investigation, Mher Sedrakyan, in 1999-2008 occupying the position of  the head of the capital community of Erebuni, being authorized to  carry out organizational-administrative and economic functions,  abusing his official powers, deliberately did not fulfill his  official duties, did not apply administrative measures for the  unauthorized construction of buildings with a total area of 2,782.55  sq. m, belonging to his son and brother on the territory of "Vardavar  Park", with the aim of further including them in the Property Fund of  the latter.

According to the investigation, Sedrakyan, using his official  position contrary to the interests of the service, with the  assistance of members of the municipal council, a land plot with a  total of 12035.5 sq. m., located on the territory of "Vardavar Park",  which is the property of the Erebuni community of Yerevan, alienated  his son and brother, as a result of which the specified site came out  of the community's own fund, which inadvertently led to serious  consequences.

Based on the totality of the sufficient evidence obtained, Mher  Sedrakyan was charged under part 2 of Article 308 (abuse of office)  of the RA Criminal Code. The investigation continues.
