ArmInfo. Three citizens were charged in the framework of a criminal case for alcohol poisoning in Armavir.
As reported by the press service of the RA IC, during the investigative measures carried out within the framework of the previously initiated criminal case, it turned out that a number of Armavir residents purchased an alcoholic drink that did not meet safety standards from a resident of the same city Ashot Hovsepyan.
Due to the presence of sufficient evidence, the latter was charged on the basis of part 2 of Article 207 of the RA Criminal Code (making or selling counterfeit wine or counterfeit vodka or other counterfeit alcoholic beverage for sale). Another two persons were charged with part 2 of Article 38-207 of the RA Criminal Code (assistance in the preparation or sale of counterfeit wine or counterfeit vodka or other counterfeit alcoholic beverage for sale). Arrest was chosen as a preventive measure. The preliminary investigation continues.
As ArmInfo previously reported with reference to the Ministry of Health of the republic, from August 31 to September 5, a total of 46 cases of alcohol poisoning were detected, of which 17 were fatal outcome. 16 people have recovered, 13 more are receiving treatment. The condition of one of the victims is assessed as satisfactory, 12 other patients are in serious and extremely serious condition.
