ArmInfo. Under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan, a meeting was held on the processes and reforms in the field of information and cyber security, as well as security issues of the websites of state bodies. The press service of the government reports.
According to the source, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the issues discussed are more than relevant, given that the military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan in July on the north-eastern border of Armenia were accompanied by attacks on the official websites of the RA in cyberspace.
Tigran Avinyan noted that it is necessary to clarify the functions and responsibilities of state bodies in the field of information and cyber security, to carry out work on modernizing the regulatory field, software and hardware for protecting sites, developing mechanisms for ensuring education and security for civil servants.
The participants touched upon gaps in the sector, possible solutions to existing problems. It is reported that further steps and activities have been identified.
Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, Minister of High-Tech Industry Hakob Arshakyan, as well as other officials representing the interested departments attended the meeting.
