ArmInfo. Restrictions on entry and exit to Armenia through the air borders have been lifted, and bans on communication only across land borders remain. The Spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan stated this on September 2 during a briefing in Yerevan.
At the same time, she noted that restrictions on visits by citizens of Armenia to other countries remain due to legislative regulations introduced by this or that country, and are not conditioned by bilateral relations. According to her, the restrictions were introduced based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Health of a particular state, taking into account the epidemiological situation. Reacting to numerous appeals from citizens regarding when the communication with Russia will open, she recalled that the restrictions imposed by the Russian government on March 16 of this year are still in effect, which also set the categories of citizens who are allowed to enter the country.
At the same time, she recalled that citizens of the Republic of Armenia who go for treatment to the Russian Federation must necessarily have a relevant certificate from the Russian medical institution where they intend to undergo treatment.
At the same time, Naghdalyan stressed that negotiations with the Russian Federation are continuing on the resumption of regular flights and the abolition of the ban on entry for citizens of Armenia. However, she found it difficult to name the possible timing of the resumption of flights.
Commenting on the gathering of Armenian citizens at the Upper Lars checkpoint, the Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman stated that the ban on entry to foreigners has not been lifted in Georgia and recommended that Armenian citizens use the air borders to return home. In this regard, she recalled that weekly charter flights are carried out from Russia, especially from its southern part - Mineralnye Vody, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don. At the same time, she added that vehicles can be delivered to the republic using the services of the relevant services.
Naghdalyan also told about the rules for visiting China by Armenian citizens. According to her, citizens of the Republic of Armenia can visit China if they have a negative test for coronavirus (valid for 3 days), made at the institution indicated by the PRC Embassy in Armenia, and if they have a health certificate provided by the Chinese Embassy
