ArmInfo.Over 36,000 first-graders are registered in Armenia. According to the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, this year in the state general education schools of the RA, which are not the only ones in specific settlements, first-graders are admitted by filling out online applications through the website https://hayt.emis.am.
The online system was tested last year in Yerevan with the aim of further spreading it to the regions of the country.
Currently, 36161 first-graders are registered in public schools in Armenia, of which 26431 are registered through the registration system. The application process will continue throughout the year. Among the results of the implementation of the system is the fact that all parents are provided with the opportunity of equal starting conditions in accordance with legislative regulations. None of the RA schools had the opportunity to admit more first-graders than the license established, since the system did not allow this (the number of seats by the license is established by the order of the minister, taking into account the standards for organizing the educational process). In addition, the number of overloaded or underutilized schools has dropped dramatically. It is emphasized that the online registration system is open and there is no deadline for applications.
We add that in schools, lessons start on September 15; first graders will be able to visit educational institutions on September 14, accompanied by one person. Taking into account the epidemiological situation, safety rules have been developed for schools. In particular, staff and students must wear masks; classes with more than 20 people will be divided into groups; the activity of canteens and buffets is prohibited; it is also prohibited to hold public events and circles.
