ArmInfo.On August 21, Chairman of the Military-Industrial Committee Artak Davtyan visited the production workshop of Neutron GAM CJSC operating in Yerevan for assembling a Kalashnikov assault rifle. This was reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry.
"Only a month has passed since the visit of the Prime Minister of Armenia, and already the first batch of 1,000 assault rifles, the workshop is ready to provide our Armed Forces. From here, the assault rifles will be sent to the Armed Forces warehouse, from where, according to the decision, these assault rifles will be issued to military units for combat duty or to perform combat missions. The entire collection process was controlled by the Committee for the Military Industry, as well as the relevant specialists of the Armed Forces," Davtyan said.
During the visit, all stages of the collection of assault rifles were presented, special attention was paid to the multi-stage quality control process. The AK-103 Kalashnikov assault rifles assembled in Armenia undergo enhanced quality control in order to eliminate any shortcomings. After each stage of the assembly, all parts are carefully checked, only after that the assault rifles proceeds to the next stage of the process.
After reviewing the details, the members of the expert group of the Committee for Military Industry expressed their satisfaction with the production process and, in particular, the quality control mechanisms.
