According to the State Revenue Committee, in 2018-2020, Ara and Haytsemnik OJSC owned by Grigoryan accumulated tax debts in the amount of 1.036 billion drams. In this regard, the lawyers offered to remove the arrest from part of the property of their client, which would allow him to fulfill his tax obligations. Meanwhile, the court rejected this petition, noting that the materials of the criminal case are still at the stage of consideration and, accordingly, the decision on the seizure of the property of "Ara and Aytsemnik" and the circumstances arising from this have not yet been fully studied.
Another motion concerned the termination of the criminal proceedings on the basis of the defendant's serious illness. This petition will be considered at the next court session.
Manvel Grigoryan is accused of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition in a preliminary conspiracy with his wife Nazik Amiryan, son Arman Grigoryan and other persons who have not been clarified by the investigation for embezzlement of property allocated for the needs of military personnel and volunteers defending the borders of the Republic of Artsakh in the April four-day war and subsequent days , tax evasion, embezzlement of public funds and the organization of property theft with extortion. The investigation on the separated part of the criminal case against Manvel Grigoryan and his wife Nazik Amiryan was completed, the case was sent to court, and Grigoryan's son, Arman Grigoryan, was put on the wanted list.
