ArmInfo. The Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Armenia excluded the name of judge Anna Danibekyan from the list of distribution of cases between judges for another 6 months.
This decision was made by SCJ on the basis of Danibekyan's statement regarding its workload, a letter from the chairman of the court of general jurisdiction of first instance of the city of Yerevan, taking into account the failure to complete the consideration of cases of particular complexity in Danibekyan's proceedings, as well as the need to consider the above cases within a reasonable time. We add that earlier SCJ also made similar decisions, taking into account the high workload of Danibekyan.
Anna Danibekyan is a judge in the case of the second President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharian, who is accused of overthrowing the constitutional order in the "March 1 case". Former Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces and ex-CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov, former RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and former Deputy Prime Minister, ex-Secretary of the RA National Security Council Armen Gevorgyan are also involved in this criminal case.
