So, in connection with the Independence Day of the Republic of India, a solemn event was held at the country's diplomatic mission in Yerevan.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Deval raised the national flag of India in the morning of August 15 in the presence of a large number of Indian Armenian guests. Then, he read a message from the President of India, Ram Nath Kovinda, to the people on the occasion of the country's 74th Independence Day.
Among the guests of the event were also the RA Ambassador to India Armen Martirosyan and the representative of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Artur Ohanyan.
After the official part, a cultural one took place. It was presented by Armenian cultural figures: the public organization "Armenian-Indian Friendship", students of Ijevan College Galik, students of YSMU. As reported by the Indian Embassy in Armenia, during the event, all security measures were observed to prevent the spread of a new type of coronavirus, established by the country's commandant's office.
