It should be reminded that Armenia sent 3 humanitarian aid planes to Lebanon to support victims of the explosions in Beirut. The aid included food and medicine. The first flight was made on August 8, the second and third on August 11. All charter flights to Lebanon delivered a total of 36 tons of humanitarian aid.
A series of violent explosions occurred on 4 August in the port area of the Lebanese capital. The blast wave destroyed a huge number of buildings. More than 150 dead and almost 5 thousand injured are reported, 300 thousand residents of the city were left homeless. It is known about 11 killed and 250 injured Armenians. Mourning has been declared in the country. In Beirut, recognized as a disaster zone, a state of emergency was introduced for two weeks.
