ArmInfo. The catastrophic situation in Lebanon as a result of a powerful explosion in the port of Beirut was discussed during a telephone conversation by Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Secretary General of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo.
As the press service of the RA MFA told ArmInfo, the interlocutors also discussed issues related to the provision of humanitarian aid to Lebanon.
Presenting the work done by the Armenian government to support the Lebanese people, Mnatsakanyan stressed that, as the country presiding over the Francophonie Summit, the Republic of Armenia attaches importance to the support of the Francophone family to the people of Lebanon in overcoming the crisis that has befallen them and a worthy way out of this catastrophic situation. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the processes in the region of the OIF and ways of solving the problems facing the organization.
