"I express my condolences to the President, the Prime Minister and the people of India in connection with the plane crash at the Calicut airport in the city of Kozhikode," Sarkissian wrote on his Twitter account.
To note, the plane with 190 passengers on board crashed while landing at the Calicut airport in the city of Kozhikode on the evening of August 7. According to the latest data, at least 18 people died, including both pilots. Dozens of people were injured, 156 of them were seriously injured. This is the largest plane crash in India in the past decade.
