ArmInfo. The Council of Europe has updated the list of non-EU countries whose citizens can enter the Schengen area. The list included those countries where the rate of spread of coronavirus infection has relatively decreased.
Only Georgia was included on the list of countries of the "green zone" of the European Union from the countries of the South Caucasus. In addition, citizens from Australia, Canada, Japan, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia and Uruguay can enter the EU. With mutual consent, citizens of China can also enter the EU. This updated list will be reviewed in two weeks. Serbia and Montenegro were excluded from the list of "safe countries", where new outbreaks of coronavirus were detected.
In total, 38,841 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Armenia, 29,557 people recovered, 749 died. At the moment, 8307 patients are receiving actual treatment.
