During meeting with Ambassador of India to Armenia Armen Sarkissian  touched upon  recent military escalation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border

ArmInfo. RA President Armen Sarkissian received the Ambassador of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Dewal. This was reported by the Presidential press service. According  to the source, the President noted that Armenia bought the <  Remdesivir > drug from India, which is one of the most effective  drugs in the treatment of coronavirus.

The Indian Hetero labs  manufacturer donated a certain amount of the drug to the Presidential  administration.

President Sarkissian expressed confidence that the medicine will be  useful in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. "We all know  that India is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers.   Armenia was one of the first to receive the drug; I hope the results  will be satisfactory. Together we can effectively fight the  coronavirus, '' the President stressed.

Armen Sarkissian also thanked Hetero labs for providing a batch of  drugs to the Presidential administration.  "We will hand it over to  the Ministry of Health to support our compatriots affected by the  coronavirus, especially residents of the border regions of our  country, as these days they have additional difficulties due to the  aggression provoked by the neighboring country."

In turn, the Ambassador, on behalf of the company, expressed hope  that this assistance would be useful for Armenia. "We hope this drug  will help dramatically reduce the growth of the coronavirus. "We hope  that this will help the people of Armenia return to normal life,"  Kishan Dan Dewal said. 

The President touched upon the topic of the recent military  escalation, which was provoked by Azerbaijan on the  Armenian-Azerbaijani border. At a time when all of humanity is  fighting a common :  coronavirus, despite the fact that conflicts  around the world have practically stopped, Azerbaijan tried to use  this opportunity in a negative way and provoke aggression on the  Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

He expressed pride that the Armenian Armed Forces again demonstrated  to defend their homeland.  "At the same time, there are some  concerns, in particular, in connection with the aggressive rhetoric  of Turkey, which for no reason uses inappropriate vocabulary in  international relations against Armenia. And this is the country  where the Armenian Genocide was committed 105 years ago, "the  president said.  Sarkissian noted that Baku's attempts to form the  impression that Armenia is a threat to the international  infrastructure that passes through the territory of Azerbaijan also  causes concern.  As for Azerbaijan's statements about its readiness  to strike at the Armenian nuclear power plant, as a physicist I  clearly understand the real consequences of such actions.
