ArmInfo. The Ambassador of Jordan to Baku Sami Abdullah Ghosheh was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan on Monday in connection with information on the supply of weapons to Armenia.
According to the Azerbaijani media with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov noted at a meeting with the Ambassador that the information about the sale of weapons by Jordan to the "occupying country" caused outrage among the Azerbaijani public. In turn, the Ambassador noted that he understands the concerns of the Azerbaijani side.
Taking into account the strategic nature of the existing ties between Jordan and Azerbaijan, the diplomat promised to make every effort to eliminate the existing problems.
Earlier, the media spread information about the purchase of weapons by Armenia from Jordan.
It should be noted that Charge d'Affaires of the Serbian Embassy in Azerbaijan was also summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the same issue last week
To note, official Baku painfully perceived diversification of purchases of weapons by Armenia.
