ArmInfo. Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia said that nothing threatens the strategic partnership of Georgia and Azerbaijan, there are no misunderstandings between the countries.
Earlier, Azerbaijani media reported that the territory of Georgia was allegedly used to supply weapons to Armenia during the aggravation of the conflict on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Georgian Foreign Ministry called these messages disinformation, which is aimed at artificially creating problems in relations between the two partner countries.
"There are no misunderstandings between Georgia and Azerbaijan. Nothing threatens our strategic partnership and brotherhood," the Prime Minister told reporters, quoted by RIA Novosti.
According to the head of the Georgian government, the information disseminated in the media does not correspond to reality and noted that Georgia fulfills all international obligations.
To recall, since July 12, there have been clashes on Armenian-Azerbaijani border. Since July 17, a relative lull has been established.
As a result of the fighting, the Armenian side announced the loss of five military, as well as the wounding of nine military men and one civilian.
According to Baku, 12 Azerbaijani soldiers, including the general, were killed as a result of the border conflict.
