ArmInfo. The National Security Service of Armenia is engaged in finding out details related to a resident of the village of Nerkin Khndzoresk Narek Sardaryan, who found himself in Azerbaijan.
This was stated in an interview with ArmInfo correspondent by the head of the NSS press center Arthur Gevorgyan. "We are now studying this issue, so for now we will refrain from making an official statement on this subject," Gevorgyan emphasized.
In turn, the Armenian Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan said that he was in constant contact with the Sardaryan family. Members of his family suspect that Narek got lost and accidentally crossed the border.
It should be noted that Narek Sardaryan grazed cattle in the border territory. His relatives do not believe that he himself voluntarily moved to the Azerbaijani side. In turn, the Azerbaijani media reported that Narek Sardaryan allegedly crossed the border with Nakhichevan and asked for political asylum in Azerbaijan.
