ArmInfo.An emergency meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council, which was to be held today at the initiative of Secretary General Stanislav Zas, has been postponed indefinitely. RFE/RL's Armenian Service was informed about this by CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.
According to him, the meeting was postponed due to consultations between the parties, as well as the need to clarify the format of discussions. He refused to answer, on whose initiative the meeting was adjourned. To note, the announcement of the emergency meeting was withdrawn from the CSTO website. Earlier, the Organization reported that due to the aggravation of the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, caused by the events of July 12 this year by clashes in the Tavush direction, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas initiated holding of the emergency meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council on July 13.
