ArmInfo. On June 30, a videoconference was held with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan - Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Elmar Mammadyarov. The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group - Igor Popov of the Russian Federation; Stephane Visconti of France; and Mr. Andrew Schofer of the United States, as well as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk, took part in the meeting, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reports.
According to the source, during the video conference, the situation in the peace process under the conditions of the coronavirus was discussed.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia pointed out the inadmissibility of belligerent and unconstructive statements of Azerbaijan, noting that they damage the peace process and impede the fulfillment of obligations to prepare peoples for peace. At the same time, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan emphasized the need to ensure comprehensive security for the people of Artsakh, including through free and safe movement.
During the meeting, the possibilities of organizing face-to-face meetings and the visit of the co-chairs to the region, depending on the development of the coronavirus situation, were discussed. At the same time, the readiness to continue remote contacts over the next month was emphasized.
