ArmInfo. Head of the "My Step" parliamentary faction Lilit Makunts denies rumors about the participation of MPs infected with COVID-19 in the parliamentary meetings. On June 30, in an interview with reporters, Makunts noted that the rumors about the participation of the MPs from My Step Viktor Yengibaryan and Hayk Gevorgyan, who supposedly already knew about their diagnosis, did not correspond to reality. According to her, the above-mentioned MPs informed in a timely manner that they were sick with a coronavirus, and after that did not attend parliament. As for monitoring the circle of contacts of virus carriers, it was noted here that all persons with disturbing symptoms undergo a coronavirus test.
To note, some members of the Armenian parliament were diagnosed with COVID-19. In addition, earlier Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had been infected with the coronavirus. In total, 25,542 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the republic, 14048 people recovered, died -443. Currently, 10904 patients are receiving treatment.
