ArmInfo. As part of international cooperation in the fight against coronavirus, a group of medical workers from Italy arrived in Armenia. This was reported by the press service of the RA Ministry of Health.
According to the source, the humanitarian mission, which arrived in Yerevan the night before, consists of 11 people. The group arrived from the region of Italy where the largest number of coronavirus infected was recorded, and its members have extensive experience working with patients. First Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Avet Adonts, Italian Ambassador to Armenia Vincenzo del Monaco, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Head of the Armenia-Italy Friendship Group Maria Karapetyan met medical staff at the airport. The mission will operate in Armenia for three weeks.
Earlier, a group of doctors from Russia, France and Lithuania arrived in Armenia to help combat the spread of coronavirus.
