ArmInfo. Armenia's Prosecutor General's Office received a decision of the Court of Appeal on the release of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan on bail. According to the department, at the moment, work is underway to appeal the court ruling. Robert Kocharyan is accused of overthrowing the Constitutional system in the framework of the events of March 1, 2008.
To recall, on June 18, the Criminal Appeal Court, chaired by Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan, partially granted the defense's motion to change Kocharyan's measure of restraint, replacing the arrest with a bail of 2 billion drams. A short time after the court decision was made, the former president was taken home from the Izmirlyan MC, where he had received postoperative treatment.
