ArmInfo. The Prosecutor General's Office approved the indictment in the case of the former Head of the RA Police Vladimir Gasparyan, the former commander of the RA Police Levon Yeranosyan and others, and sent the case to the court of the first instance of Yerevan.
To recall, in the case, in addition to Gasparyan and Yeranosyan, the former head of the Internal Audit Department Vardan Tunyan and the commander of the military unit of the police force Gurgen Grigoryan are also accused.
According to the prosecution, cases of abuse of official position committed by Vladimir Gasparyan and of official forgery and theft in especially large amounts from state funds by Levon Yeranosyan were disclosed, as a result of which damage amounted to 114 million drams were caused to the state. During the preliminary investigation, 64 million drams were restored.
For committing the above criminal acts, Vladimir Gasparyan was charged under clause 1 of part 3 of article 179 (two episodes) and part 2 of article 308 (two episodes) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia; Levon Yeranosyan - clause 1 of part 3 of article 179, part 1 of article 314 and part 2 of article 308 of the RA Criminal Code; Vardan Tunyan - in part 2 of article 38-308, part 2 of article 308 and clauses 1 and 3 of part 2 of article 179 of the RA Criminal Code; Gurgen Grigoryan - under part 2 of Article 38-308 of the RA Criminal Code.
