ArmInfo.Employees of the National Security Service of Armenia have identified a fake account that disseminates false information (fake-news) on the Internet that is harmful to the security of the state, society and people.
According to the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, in particular, on May 29, an Azerbaijani user, Qizil alma, posted on his page a video lasting one and a half minutes under the title "Shocking Confession of the Armenian Architect about Yerevan: Not Ours," in which a woman named as Agnessa answers to the questions of the camera man in Russian .
"So, in the video, Agnessa from Republic Square tells that Yerevan was a city-type settlement at one time, where the Armenians practically did not live and were engaged only in trade. From the study of the video, it can be seen that it was mounted from another original video, from which separate sentences were taken, connected to each other, as a result of which the meaning and content of the conversation were distorted. The video was circulated by the Azerbaijani media with the corresponding anti-Armenian texts, saying that the Armenians had not live in Yerevan, and that this is one more confirmation that "Erivan" is an old Azerbaijani city, which was transferred to the Armenians in 1918, "the NSS noted.
At the same time, the department said that the original video was shot by blogger Ilya Varlamov in February this year, and Agnessa offered him her help to present Yerevan. According to the National Security Service, the video tells about the part of the city of Yerevan in the 1850s where the Ghantar market once existed, now the area near V. Sargsyan Street, and where then mainly Persians lived, (but not Azerbaijanis), and Armenians came to this market for purchases.
"This circumstance proves once again that the Azerbaijani side is trying to "find way to enter" in history through falsifications, but they failed to do this," the NSS concluded.
In this regard, the National Security Service called on the citizens of the Republic of Armenia to be vigilant, not to panic and not to distribute such videos, but in the event of a collision with such videos on the network, inform the National Security Service about this.
